The company manufacture critical components for torque transmission equipment used in drivetrain applications within Naval & Marine Propulsion, Oil & Gas, Mineral Extraction, Mass Transit, Lifting, Conveying and Processing Sectors.
Role
- The primary objective is to provide product and application support to customers, sales team and production as well as development of customer led engineered solutions.
- Provide technical engineering support to the whole business by modelling and development of bespoke designs for customers based on existing product ranges
- Daily activities will mainly focus around coupling design, creating engineering drawings, BOM creation/management and setting up components/assemblies on the ERP system – all based on customer requirements and timescales.
- Attend daily quality clinics and support production on site in addition to offering engineering advice to the purchasing and sales teams
You
- Experienced in the compilation of product/design specifications and preparation and control of drawings for manufacture
- At ease in collaboration with production engineering, design analysis from a Product Support perspective – customer returns / failure analysis / problem solving
- Conversant with modern CAD software packages (Creo 2.0 an added advantage) - able to assimilate technical complexities and present feasible solutions and maintenance of ERP data
