Production Administrator / AssistantFabrication Manager - steelwork fabrication
We are delighted to be recruiting an individual with experience in steelwork fabrication to join a very robust and successful engineering business based in Co. Wexford. The successful applicant will work closely with and assist the Production Management team to support the smooth running of the steelwork fabrication workshop. Note we invite applications from people with steelwork experience who have worked in roles such as Production Administration / Fabrication supervisor/manager / team leaders etc as well as Fabricator Welders looking to step up/change direction.
Production Administrator / AssistantFabrication Manager duties include:
- Work with and support the Production Manager in the planning and coordination of work as it progresses through the fabrication workshop.
- Assist with nesting/maximising use of steel sections/offcuts.
- Oversee the delivery of steelwork from suppliers/stockholders. Sign it in and log the info/test certificates on to the system (StruMis).
- Arrange and log incoming and outgoing deliveries of steelwork as required.
- Updating the plan/schedule as to the progress of work being fabricated in the workshop.
- Assist with various other tasks such as troubleshooting for the fabricators ie if additional information is needed from the drawing office to help fabricate, communicating with site teams, contract managers etc as required to answer questions.
Production Administrator / AssistantFabrication Manager requirements:
- Experience and understanding of structural steelwork is essential (from a hands on, coordination or administration perspective).
- Must be computer literate.
- Experience using a database/MIS software (such as StruMis) is advantageous, but training may be provided to those with relevant steelwork knowledge.
- Ability to understand fabrication drawings is advantageous.
- Good communication skills.
- Live in/within a commutable distance of the production facility in New Ross.
