BBC Studios’ Kids & Family portfolio boasts some of the most exciting and successful local and global franchises in the world, with BAFTA winning craft and storytelling. Our incredibly diverse multi-genre portfolio includes iconic titles such as Blue Peter, The Dumping Ground, JoJo & Gran Gran, Supertato, Lagging and CBeebies: Shakespeare at the Globe. Our teams are passionate about to creating internationally world-class content for our young audiences.It’s an exciting and busy time for BBC Studios’ Kids & Family with a number of ambitious projects coming up in 2024. As such, we’re opening up a Production Coordinator Talent Pool as we are anticipating a number of PC roles needed across our productions. Currently we are predicting PC roles on the following productions:• Something Special (26th February/4th March – November)
• CBeebies Presents (April – November) Dates are approximate and subject to change. Both of these PC roles are based in MediaCityUK, Salford and will be hybrid working 2/3 days a week in the office. Other PC roles may be appointed on other productions from this Talent Pool.Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have experience in dealing with contributors, their carers and parents, on screen talent and crew. You will have demonstrable experience of coordinating complex and multi-faceted logistics across the UK. You will have strong organisational and planning skills and be able to manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines. You will have had experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with Service Providers such as local authorities, Access Bookings and other key suppliers. Applicants must have an awareness of health and safety best practice on location and an understanding and experience of systems including MyBusiness, Smartbook, Silvermouse and Albert. A knowledge of child licensing is advantageous. Are you the right candidate?

• Experience in building and maintaining detailed finance logs and accommodation cross plots.
• Demonstrable knowledge of contracting crew and on screen talent via smartbook and talent reqs keeping across expenses and other supplementary payments.
• Understanding of how to monitor and report on productions diversity using Diamond.
• Competencies in working through and building complex logistical plans considering the needs and requirements of contributors and ensure the shoot is set up appropriately.
• Significant experience in generating call sheets and ensuring all talent, crew and contributors remain up to date with information as required.
• Driving value for money with JPM when booking kit, supplies and from suppliers.
• Experience in gathering and recording evidence throughout the course of a production for Albert.
• Experience of being task manager and main point of contact for potential work experience, apprentices or runners working across the production and keeping records of working hours.
• Understanding of completing child licensing documentation (assisted by PMA)
• Ready to support PM in driving sustainable production techniques and efficiencies across processes.
• Experience of working with scripted content is advantageous.
