Production Controller

Up to 45,000 (depending on experience)

Milton Keynes - Office based.

Our client is an innovative engineering company that manufactures plant and machinery, supplying customers globally.

You will be responsible for the control of all production and efficient management and expedition of all purchased and manufactured parts. You will solely control the flow of work required to meet the delivery of products to cost and schedule.

This is an office based role, but you'll also be up and about, engaging with and influencing various teams, including production.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Raise / convert Production orders.
• Working closely with the sales team and other departments providing lead times.
• Plan production and produce work to lists.
• Identify capacity issues in advance and recommend solutions e.g. overtime/ sub-contracting to line Manager.
• Agree recovery plan with Line Manager and execute.
• Communicate production requirements to the production team.
• Work with Stores team to ensure all despatches are completed on time in full.
• Creating and maintaining Master Production Schedule.
• Maintain master Bill of Operations data.
• Minimise obsolete stock.
• Work with the line Manager to identify process improvements.
• Ensure all health and safety guidelines are being adhered to and make recommendation for improvement.

We're looking for an individual with the following skills set: -

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Proven experience as a Production Planner / Supply Chain Planner.
• Experience of using ERP / MRP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and Word in particular).
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
• Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

Working hours - 8 :30 to 5:00 Mon-Fri
