Production Engineer

Contek Recruitment are currently working closely with a precision machining and assembly client, located in Tile Hill, Coventry. Our client is a leading Tier 1 component supplier, specialising in the machining and assembly of a number of product ranges for the power generation and off-highway industries.
Our client are now looking for a Production Engineer to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis, as they continue to expand and invest in the business. They are looking for someone to work alongside their Engineering department, whilst also supporting the shop floor.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (07:30 AM until 16:30 PM) and Friday (07:30 AM until 12:30 PM)
Salary: £19 - £20 per hour (£38k - £40k per year) (Depending on experience)
Duties and Responsibilities:

• CNC machining (turning) for offshore and marine parts.
• Programme and set Mazak and Doosan 2-axis lathes with live tooling from scratch.
• Involvement with shopfloor process issues.
• Ordering of new tools for NPI projects,
• Involvement with the toolmakers on all new work.
• Speeding up of current production processes to meet customer requirements.

Requirements:

• Many years’ experience’ in the engineering background.
• Fully able to read drawings and customer standards.
• Ability to program and set a range of CNC lathes with live tooling.
• Experience in process improvement is required.

Holiday Entitlement: 33 days (6.6 weeks)
