Production Engineering Manager

Due to continued business growth our client is recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Managing Director the Production Engineering Manager youwill beresponsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering functions within the manufacturing operations.

The Production Engineering Manager will bring vast and current PU processing expertise and industry best practice to a growing organisation, whilst remaining the Technical Lead associated with PU Production, troubleshooting, development and efficiencies.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

• Considerable experience within PU Processing and Production Engineering.
• Sufficient knowledge of subsea materials and their correct use.
• HND in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programmes.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Commercial awareness and strong leadership skills.
• Ability to - build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships, make data driven decisions, adapt to change and meet deadlines and identify and manage business risk.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To plan, develop, procure, and implement the infra-structure required to expend our PU manufacturing facility in accordance with the approved business plan.
• The Purchasing of capital equipment, balancing future expectations with immediate needs and in accordance with budgets.
• Completing plant layout and workflow analysis as required.
• Specification of the factory infrastructure necessary to produce the component range.
• Develop and implement Operating Procedures as necessary in accordance with industry and legislative requirements.
• Liaise closely with the HSEQ team, ensuring HSEQ requirements remain paramount within the factory.
• Developing the maintenance function - personnel, spare parts, tools and equipment.
• Delivering operator training as necessary.
• Assisting with the development of the supply chain for raw materials and purchased parts.
• Implementing stock management systems suitable for the operation as necessary.
• Supporting the review of product design for manufacture.
• Generating data analysis to ensure a continuous improvement approach is achieved.
• Delivering repeatable quality to class leading standards. Ensuring the Product aesthetic quality and material quality and traceability can be identified and audited.
• Developing and implementing KPIs for Production in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Reducing waste and the associated environmental, and cost of quality implications.
• Provide support, training and development to the Production Engineering Team as required.
• Assist with any other duties as required.
