Our client is a reputable electronic manufacturer with a long-standing presence in the industry. They are currently seeking an experienced Production Engineering Manager to join their team.
The Role
As the Production Engineering Manager, you will be the cornerstone of expertise within our client's organisation. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our products consistently meet and exceed customer expectations in terms of quality and timely delivery.
Key responsibilities:
Timely delivery of Bills of Materials (BOMs), programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Maintenance tasks, meeting stringent quality standards.
Overseeing day-to-day operations within the Production Engineering department.
Developing staff at all levels to enhance skill proficiency, ensuring a smooth flow of expertise and seamless succession.
Implementing improvement initiatives focused on enhancing efficiencies through Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Kanban, and 5S.
Managing key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the department consistently meets efficiency and performance targets.
Driving continuous improvement efforts through effective change management processes and best practices adherence.
Ensuring adherence to safety standards and optimising manufacturing processes for efficiency.
Candidate
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience within a certified quality management system (e.g., ISO).
Strong process aptitude, showcasing an intuitive understanding of manufacturing processes.
Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in manufacturing environments.
Previous experience in organisations supplying OEMs.
Extensive experience in managing a team of production engineers.
Desirable:
Technical expertise in electronic assembly processes.
Proficiency in product realisation processes, with a focus on production operations delivery through methodologies like One Piece Flow, Kanban, or Batch manufacturing.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Project management experience.
