A market-leading, global manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the business. This role has a large impact across all employees, processes, projects, and systems. The business is going from strength to strength and is continuing to grow. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, experienced Production Management professional to make an impact at a business within an excellent industry.
Role Description
- Play a key role in the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing; planning, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to improve operational performance
- Maintain production systems and processes to deliver product on time, to specification and cost
- Promote functional excellence of the systems team
- Drive continuous improvement activities
- Justify capital equipment investment and introduce of modern processes
- Analyse downtime, identify trends and develop implement solutions
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Take control of in-house apprentice program working closely with key stakeholders
- Identify skill sets, resource levels, and systems to ensure projects are delivered
- Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Communicate KPI's, review and implement
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma
- Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production.
- Able to demonstrate experience of working within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience of modern manufacturing techniques and process that include automation and digitalisation
- Microsoft Office suite
- SAP
