We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee our world premiere production of 'Sherlock Holmes and The Sign of Four'.
Fee: £4,000 (plus holiday pay)
The opera will headline the Leeds Opera Festival 2024, and will be performed at Leeds School of Arts from 28 to 31 August.
Responsibilities will include:
- Realisation of the design (set, costume, props) in consultation with the Set & Costume Designer, director and venue technicians
- Liaison with the Lighting Designer and technicians to help facilitate any lighting that is part of the set and props design
- Communicating with creatives to realise technical ambitions of the show
- Managing the production budget
- Producing and distributing technical schedules as required throughout the production process
- Ensuring the production is health and safety compliant
- Liaison with Set & Costume Designer over procurement, including assessment of environmental impact and sustainability of production options
- Overseeing installation of production at Leeds School of Arts, and get out post-performances
- Organising necessary transportation of scenery and props to/from workshop to performance venue as required
The post holder must have relevant Production Management experience on similar theatre / opera productions, and ideally will have experience of working in Leeds and a valid driving license.
