Our client is a Corrugated Sheet Plant based in the North East of England, they are an excellent business who have heavily invested and are growing at a very impressive rate.
They are looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their team. You will be reporting to the General Manager. Supporting the achievement of the company trategy and goals though the leadership and development of a safe and effective manufacturing unit, with full accountability for production, sales and the financial performance of the plant.
My client will consider candidates who are looking to take the step up to a Production Managers role. This is a great time to join a company who is heavily investing in the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Health & Safety is maintained at the highest level, ensuring the safe and effective operation of all machinery and equipment, buildings and premises for which you will be responsible within the framework of HSE and equipment
- To ensure that all employees are fully trained in all aspects of their role
- Delivery of the weekly site production targets
- To ensure daily customer deliveries are accurate and on time
- Maintain quality and environmental standards
- Delivery of set KPIs
- Ensure factory planning, load maximisation and effectiveness are achieved
- To develop and sustain a positive, continuously improving, customer focused culture at the site
- Management of Transport Operations licence and legal compliance
- Recognises financial and marketing implications of decisions and actions. Is alert to economic conditions, business opportunities and competitors' activity
- Displays an integrated overview of the total business and how it operates. Defines a long-term vision, accurately identifying opportunities and threats
- Tackles day to day issues in the context of a broad strategic framework
- Gives clear direction and sets standards and expectations
- Creates a motivating environment to get the best out of individuals and teams, and to achieve goals
