Production & Operations Assistant

Job Purpose:

Don Electronics is part of the Donelec Group, a friendly, family run business with a 70 year history in business. We are a well established electronics design and manufacturing business and have a modern purpose built building in Yeadon ( Leeds), which is well located for public transport routes.

We currently have a vacancy for a new full-time permanent role in our busy Production team as Production Operations Assistant.

Operating throughout all manufacturing areas of the business, the main purpose of this role is to support a range of Production tasks.

This role will be an on-site, full-time role, based at our Leeds manufacturing facility in Yeadon.

Main Duties:

- Shipping (using the online UPS booking system to book shipments to the UK, Europe and USA).

- Printing a range of documentation for each product to meet the daily and weekly needs of the Production plan.

- Release Manufacturing Order paperwork from the Production schedule and populate with relevant details (e.g. Sales order numbers).

- Update the business system to book finished goods from Manufacturing Orders to maintain stock level accuracy.

- Packing Inspection and pre-loading of finished goods for daily despatch.

- Run multiple tasks/projects in parallel (switch to the highest priority task as and when required).

- Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

IT literate and a knowledge of Excel and working with spreadsheets.

Being familiar with stock control systems and/or supply chain methods would be an advantage.

Capable of working to and meeting deadlines.

As there is an element of manual lifting involved in the role, it is a requirement that you are capable of this and have a level of fitness to meet these needs.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Self-driven and able to work effectively under your own steam for long periods without distraction.

Quality focused and well organised.

Willing and able to constantly learn and improve skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.47 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Leeds: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
