Are you a savvy Production Operative with experience working on human interface machinery?
We are looking for an experienced Production Operative who prides themselves on their keen eye for detail and awareness of their surroundings.
Our client in central Birmingham requires candidates to work in their production chemical plant, this role requires a knowledgeable Production Operative with a deep understanding of health and safety policies and procedures due to the Hazardous finished products that are being handled. The role consists of assisting in the manufacturing process by using production equipment following and complying with defined standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:

• Operating process vessels, pumps, and plant equipment
• Using a counterbalance Forklift to assist with the handling of products
• Weighing and measuring raw materials following systems and companies procedures
• Adhere to company health and safety policies due to working with hazardous finished products
• Following batch sheets ad identifying raw materials for mixing
• Drive customer focus, performance and quality standards for production

Requirements:

• 12 months experience operating a Forklift truck
• Ability to read/understand batch instructions
• Great understanding of maths and English
• Keen eye for detail and awareness of surroundings
• Manual handling ability lifting up to 25kg
• Can do attitude, and learning mind set,
• Ability to use IT tools such as Office, Excel and SAP

The working hours for the successful Production Operative are 12 hours per shift on a rotational basis as per below:
X2 morning shifts 07:00 - 19:00
X2 night shifts 19:00 - 07:00
The rate of pay for the successful Production Operative is £11.00 per hour for a day shift and a shift allowance for a night shift totalling £14.82 per hour. Once taken on a permanent basis this will increase.
