AddressTerrAffix, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Production Operativefor a versatile role which includes the operation of a manufacturing system to produce materials for the construction/land remediation industry. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our site in Trecwn,South West Wales.
The role is varied, winter works include the mixing, baling and palletisation of products for dispatch. Summer works include the making of organic composts and biotic soils. The operative on occasion, will be required to support the site/delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for general production duties
- Preparation and mixing of materials
- Ensure that packing is in line with the company quality standards
- Maintain work areas and the factory floor clean and free from hazardous material
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Operate a forklift truck (mini telehandler)
- To prepare materials for dispatch
- To undertake routine maintenance of plant and equipment
- Maintain detailed production and maintenance records
- Undertake appropriate training as required by the company
Person Specification
Essential skills
- Adhering to operational and safety procedures
- Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products
- Full, clean driving licence
Personal skills
- Being able to work well as part of a small team
- Attention to detail to quickly notice errors on a production line
- Working knowledge of machinery and equipment, including interpretation of production reports and identification of problems
- Solid troubleshooting skills to successfully determine the causes of production issues
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and manage their own workload
