Permanent Team Leader.
Position Overview:
As a Permanent Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Production team. You will lead a group of staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing resources effectively, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
· Organising tasks/workload for the allocated team and other associated staff
· Implement working practices and deadlines set by the Production Supervisor.
· Ensuring that quality standards are implemented and adhered to.
· Briefing their teams.
· Training, coaching, and mentoring are a key skill required for helping staff reach their professional development goals.
· Ensure workloads, tasks, etc. have been set and monitor teams progress against targets.
· Report any production processes that could be revised to the Production Supervisor
· Compiling staff rotas, dealing with leave requests, and arranging cover when necessary due to illness, etc.
· Carry out toolbox talks and document attendance and understanding of subject matter.
· Liaise with Internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Team Leader/Junior Management role
· IT literate with experience in all the main software packages
· A qualification in a management capacity is preferred but not essential.
· knowledge and experience in the steel industry is advantageous.
· To be considered for the role you will need 5 years experience working as a Team Leader and be used to organising and planning tasks and duties for a small team, whilst working alongside and reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Working Hours & Pay Rates
· £15.49 hourly rate
· 40 hours a week + Overtime
