Knitmesh Technologies require full-time Production Operators to support the business’s increased workload.
Main Responsibilities:
· Planning and organisation of work;
· Understanding of works orders, interpretation of drawings and route cards;
· Core forming, auto gill cutting, manual mesh rolling, press operation and spot welding;
· Material handling and identification;
· Monitoring and maintaining mesh quality;
· Periodic mesh inspection and recording of dimensional, weight parameters;
· Packing mesh components if necessary.
Skills & Experience:
· Able to understand basic engineering drawings;
· Familiar with working in an engineering production environment;
· Excellent attention to detail;
· Good communication skills, especially verbal;
· Willing to work overtime as and when required.
This role requires a flexible approach and the ability to work in a positive manner within a team. Previous experience within a production environment is desirable although full training will be provided.
Benefits/Remuneration package:
Work pattern: Two shift patterns are available:
1. Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 08:15-17:00 and Friday 08:15-13:00 (37.5hr p/w)
2. 3-shift pattern:
a. Week.1: Monday to Friday 6:00-14:00;
b. Week.2: Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00;
c. Week.3: Sunday to Friday morning 22:00-06:00.
(Initially whilst training, you will work a 2-shift pattern. Then once training has been completed you will move onto the 3-shift pattern).
Salary: Grade 1 £12.00 per hour, plus shift allowance.
Holidays: 21 days paid holiday plus statutory bank holidays, increasing to 25 days with service.
Contributory Pension Scheme: up to 6%.
Contract Type: Temp to perm.
