Purpose of the Production Planner role:Our client is looking for a Production Planner to keep the production schedule on track, ensuring all materials are stocked, and overseeing the workflow of the production facility. This is a great opportunity to join our client's growing team.
Main duties and responsibilities of a Production Planner:. Ensure the planning board is maintained and updated with all live jobs and projects for visibility Ensure information for the shop floor is communicated on time Arrange for materials to be picked from the warehouse with relevant spreadsheets, updated where applicable Ensure project slips are completed for Recycled HIPS with a copy for the Warehouse and the Estimator Organise the work for the Prebuild Dept Liaise with suppliers on requirements, lead times and receipt of first offs for sign-off Liaise with QC & Sign Off Coordinator for the items on the planning board. Instrumental in creating QC Check Sheets Brief the VF assembly work to the relevant Team Leader Ensure Admin support completes job folders, labels, instruction sheets, and packing requirements Escalate anything that will impact quality or timings.
Experience/knowledge requirements for a Production Planner:. Previous experience in a successful Production Planner role in a manufacturing environment Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with other departments Attention to detail Strong IT skills.
