Are you an experienced Production Planner ready to take on an exciting new challenge?
A fantastic FMCG business near Newcastle-Under-Lyme is hiring a Senior Planner to join their close knit Supply Chain team. This is a company undergoing significant development and expansion, particularly in their B2C business, so they are looking for an individual who embraces changes and continuous improvement, and the challenges and opportunities that come with growth!
What will the role involve?
- Responsibility for both short and long term production plans
- Close collaboration with Purchasing to develop the material plan, highlighting constraints and adjusting production plans accordingly
- Chairing Production Scheduling meetings and agreeing plans with the Production team
- Highlighting short-term and long-term capacity constraints
- Managing data within MRP/ERP system (production rates, yield etc.)
- Monitoring forecast accuracy and variances to previous cycles
- Developing and maintaining relevant KPIs for production and planning
- Supporting and enabling change projects and process improvements
Ideal Skills and Experience
- Previous production planning experience, ideally in a SME environment
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Ability to work in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and react to changes in demand or supply where necessary
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of stakeholder engagement and relationship management
