The role
We are currently hiring for a Production Shift Technician (Moulding Setter), reporting to the Shift Supervisor, to ensure the safe and productive running of injection moulding machines.
The role works on a shift basis on a 3 week pattern, (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)

What you ll be doing

• To ensure that Health and Safety is central to all our activities and the factory site is kept clean and tidy in accordance with the company s Health & Safety policy.
• Ensure all machines run on cycle producing work to the standard required by our quality system.
• Perform mould changes efficiently, minimizing downtime.
• Clean and maintain moulds to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production runs, and any adjustments made.
• To supervise the activities of the Production Shift Assistant.
• Ensure all machines run efficiently and are kept in good repair.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the injection moulding process.
• Ensure quality of products being produced are meeting the set Talon standard and complete any necessary quality checks or KPI sheets.
• Liaise with Production Supervisor on maintenance, tooling and efficiency of the equipment with a view to achieve optimum production levels.
• Liaise with the Production Supervisor on stocks of raw material levels, spares and tooling parts.
• Ensure nail machines are set and kept running and general alarms are dealt with quickly to re start production.
• Cover all shift staff when on holiday or absent due to sickness
• Work as a team with other shifts to ensure a smooth and effective shift change.
• Train and mentor junior setters or machine operators as required.
• To unload all vehicles delivering raw materials, packaging materials and other items for the site, and to verify the contents as stated on the delivery note.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience of running injection moulding machines
• Knowledge of 5S procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide support as needed.
• To be aware of the company s Health & Safety and Quality policies.
• To carry out any other tasks that may be required from time to time for the benefit of the company as a whole.
• Must have a Fork-lift truck driver s license or be able to take test.
