What to expect as a Production Team Leader
- Working a day shift pattern
- No weekends - standard shifts all worked Monday to Friday
- Keyholder and site security - opening and closing the building as well as the day-to-day site management tasks
- Dedicated supervisory duties overseeing an experienced production team as well as a number of trainees
- Creating and maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for staff
- Leading the team to deliver the daily production plan including communicating shift production targets and objectives to the team
- Working to tight deadlines to ensure submissions and production targets met
- Ensuring all direct reports comply with internal procedures including work instructions, use of equipment, product quality and housekeeping as well as compliance with all Health & Safety policies
- Identify opportunities for improvement within production areas and utilising key relationships with business leaders to progress
- Ensuring all direct reports comply with company policies and procedures such as break times, start / finish times, absence reporting, holiday management and overtime
- Identifying training needs and implement ongoing development to ensure operators maintain and exceed required standards
- Liaising with Maintenance Support Team to efficiently resolve and maintenance issues
What we're looking for
- Experience of leading a team within a manufacturing and production environment
- Excellent people management skills and an ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Resilience and self-motivation with a genuine drive for working as a team to achieve production targets
- Proactive attitude to problem solving and an ability to plan, organise and schedule in an efficient manner
