- Health and Safety management in line with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities Procedure
- To ensure all areas are safe and well maintained
- To ensure all PPE is worn correctly at all times
- To ensure production lines are prepared to commence production
- Facilitate the Harford system
- Liaise with other departments regarding the movement of products onto different lines
- Control start times, breaks and finishing times.
- Record all downtime explaining how and why
- Ensure all paperwork is completed promptly and correctly
- Sign off products at the start of a production run to ensure date code is correct
- Control the radio for communication with other departments and Managers
- To have a total understanding of the production plan and be able to make alterations as and when necessary.
- To make full use and effective use of all man power available.
- To ensure that your production lines are serviced with product at all times and that lines are not put on stop unless absolutely necessary.
- To continually monitor production yields and out-puts and ensure that waste is kept to a minimum.
- Change labels/ribbons at end of production line labelers
- Control product movement in the situation of missing box labels
- To ensure that hygiene is maintained at all times and that all paper work in relation to the cleaning procedures at the end of the shift has been filled in and passed back to the QA department for filing.
- During the running and cleaning procedures that all the necessary precautions have been take in accordance with Health & Safety.
- To ensure that GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) are followed at all times.
- Ensure that your areas are kept free from unwanted materials and that any residue stock is used in rotation.
- To ensure that all routine quality assurance tests and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that all equipment is used in the proper manner and that any defects are reported immediately to the maintenance department.
- Ensure correct close down procedures are followed at the end of the shift
- Assist with risk assessments
- Assist with the training and development of operatives and Team Leaders within your area
