They pride themselves on commitment to excellence, innovation, and teamwork. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Shift Team Leader to join the team.
Role Overview: As a Production Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Production Team during designated shifts to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. You will oversee production activities, coordinate workflow, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise Production Team members, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.
- Meet production requirements in accordance with forecasted demand levels
- Ensure availability of materials to automated production line
- Ensure production schedules are met and production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to address any production issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and practices to create a safe working environment for all team members.
- Train and mentor new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, shift logs, and inventory records.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and machinery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
