You will lead a team of people to manufacture and assemble precision couplings within a Model Value Stream (MVS) cell, as well as finding ways to continually improve the manufacturing/assembly methods within the cell.
As Production Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the activities of the Cell under the direction of the Production Manager; following established procedures and approved processes.
- Leading the day-to-day activities within the Cell to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.
- Coordinate departmental activities to fulfil sales orders, meet inventory requirements and deliver manufactured products in a timely manner.
- Take the lead for your team in addressing any quality concerns or defects that may develop throughout the shift.
- Ensure a safe working environment exist in the area at all times. Any safety concerns are immediately highlighted to the Production Manager.
- Daily audits around the cell to determine if standard work is being achieved.
- Continuous assessment of staff performance in completing the processes.
- Managing the workload, adjusting capacity when required.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- To have successfully completed an Apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Essential
- Competent using MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. Essential
- Experience of working within a manufacturing CNC machining and assembly environment.
- Educated to GCSE standards or equivalent (grades A – C including Maths and
English).
