Main duties of the job
Our Children's Occupational Therapy teams cover a diverse population and range of conditions for children and young people aged 0-19.
We offer services to children and their families in locations best suited to their needs, which may be at the CDCs, in their own homes and schools, or at specialist-run clinics, education sessions and groups. We are passionate about helping children reach their potential, supporting their activity and participation in the activities that matter to them. To do this we work closely with our colleagues in other professions across health, education and social care, and with our local communities.
You will be part of the wider Professional Leadership team led by the Associate Director for AHPs, and will work in close conjunction with service managers and Professional Lead colleagues in Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Nursing to ensure the care we deliver is evidence-based, safe and effective.
This role is designed to ensure we have the right people with the right skills delivering excellent patient care. You should have a keen interest in national initiatives relative to Occupational Therapy and be able to translate best practice guidance into local service delivery. You must be proactive, innovative and forwarding-thinking and keen to support the ongoing professional development of this motivated staff group.
