A day in the life of the PQ team
No day is the same, but a typical day in the team might include a catch up with one of our tuition providers on the progress of our learners on a particular course. We might follow up on those discussions by contacting a learner or their career coach for further information. We are often called upon to have difficult conversations where individuals are unwell or facing difficult personal circumstances. We consult with our colleagues across the wider firm when required to make sure that we provide the right level of support.
With so many learners on different pathways and programmes, exam results are released several times a month. Our team receives, sense checks, processes and distributes exam results to the key people in the business who need to know the outcome. We get involved in conversations on next steps where a student has not been successful in their exam.
Later that day we might have a team catch up. Our team is spread across the UK and we make full use of technology to connect as a team and share our experiences and thoughts on a regular basis. We can use technology to collaborate on documents and see one another on video which makes the distance between us much less significant. We also come together in peer groups on at least a weekly basis to support one another and share knowledge as well as regular face to face team days.
As the day comes to an end, we might have a discussion with a business unit regarding a potential new cohort of learners. Our business continues to evolve and we are committed to working to support those changing needs.
