TPP are recruiting a Professional Standards Officer on a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract. You will become a key part of our client's mission, a leading professional membership body.

Work setting: Hybrid - 1-2 days a week in the office
Contract type: 12 months (FTC)

The Role:

As a Professional Standards Officer, you will play a major role in monitoring member compliance with Professional standards as set out in the regulatory framework and evaluating individuals seeking membership to determine their fit status.

Main responsibilities

Assessments:
*Support members in complying with Professional standards requirements.
*Gather and review evidence and conduct complaint and misconduct investigations.

Investigations:
*Manage an active caseload, covering fit and proper assessments and disciplinary investigations.
*Analyse evidence and present findings in a clear and concise report format.
*Prepare internal decision documents with recommended actions.

Compliance:
*Respond to queries from Licensed Members regarding practice assurance reviews.
*Collaborate with subcontractors to resolve data and member queries.
*Provide clear recommendations for high-risk cases and disciplinary action.

Anti-Money Laundering Supervision:
*Generate and analyse data for desk-based reviews of compliance with Money Laundering Regulations.
*Conduct desk-based interventions to check Anti-Money Laundering systems and controls.
*Update internal systems with review results and maintain records.

Essential requirements:

*Strong knowledge in investigation of complaints and misconduct.
*Excellent report writing skills, with strong time management and attention to detail skills.
*Experience in presenting information to conduct committees/panels.
