On behalf of a leading manufacturer of excavator buckets, CDM Recruitment is seeking a skilled Profile Burner to join their client's team in Birtley, Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a reputable company known for its commitment to quality and innovation in heavy equipment manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain profile burning machines to cut metal components for excavator buckets.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine specifications.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using precision measuring tools.
- Adjust cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance and precision.
- Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality and specification standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with machinery and equipment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Profile Burner or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and profile burning techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
