Program PMO required in Welwyn Garden City

6 months duration (extension possible)

Hybrid working twice a week in Welwyn.

My client is a blue chip FMCG and retail brand that serve millions of customers every week from all over the globe. With over 6,000 stores internationally my client is a well-known household name that offer several exciting opportunities.

The Role

A programme or project management office is a single, central support structure, designed to aid change and delivery initiatives within an organisation.

The Program

Tesco has agreed to sell its credit card, loans, and savings operations to Barclays therefore we require a PMO to assist with the Mergers and Acquisitions program, both will become a partnership with joint initiatives, we need help to manage the separation of Tesco bank from Tesco group.

therefore, we require a PMO to assist and who may also be expected to cover for the Programme Manager on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• Banking sector experience preferred.


• Ensure the PMO framework and process is fit for purpose and adhered to.


• creation and maintenance of key artefacts.


• preparing steering committee and governance packs.


• minuting governance meetings.


• managing the RAID log and ensuring actions are followed up.


• Monitor project progress and report on project status to stakeholders.

Key skills & experience

• Excellent understanding of PMO frameworks and methodologies.


• Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.


• Proven experience in project management


• Excellent attention to detail.
