About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
The purpose of the role is to support Programme Director in defining and in driving delivery and implementation of Programme Digitalisation Plan, and to act as a single point of interface to the CDO team to ensure alignment of Programme Digitalisation Plan with the overall SZC Digitalisation, Data & Information Management Strategy, SZC IT Strategy, and drive required contributions from people and functions within the Programme and report progress, risk and opportunities related to delivery of Programme Digitalisation Plan within Programme Performance Reviews. Key responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with Programme Director and his Senior Leadership Team to develop and maintaining good understanding of Programme priorities related to different lifecycle stage of the project
  • Driving definition of Programme Digitalisation Plan linked to Programme Objectives for each lifecycle of the SZC project by actively driving 'digital by default' ways of working within the programme, expected by UK government Transforming Infrastructure Performance roadmap.
  • Securing input of CDO team into definition of Programme Digitalisation Plan to ensure the plan is aligned with overall SZC Digitalisation, Data & Information Management strategy and reflects current opportunities that technology brings to delivery of large infrastructure projects.
  • Maintaining resourced task plan for delivery of Programme Digitalisation Plan.
  • Setting up and leading relevant interface meetings with CDO team and with Function Data & Digitalisation Leads, to communicate requests for input and contributions from CDO team and other programme functions.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Hands-on Project Management experience on large complex projects
  • Experience or understanding of change management activities required for organisation transformation with technology.
  • Excellent understanding of infrastructure project delivery processes and challenges
  • Appreciation of the opportunities that data and technology can bring to infrastructure project delivery.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, experience engaging with senior leadership teams.
  • Confident leading workstreams and working as part of a team.
  • Desirable experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in infrastructure sectors.
  • Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and a pragmatic approach
