We have a new and unique opportunity for a Programme Manager to guide, influence and effectively manage on our Business Resilience Turnaround initiative.
This is an exciting and challenging initiative that is set out to work with Thames Water’s asset deficit. This will involve ensuring both risk and capital investments are effectively prioritised and improving foundational capability that will deliver the reduction of service failures.
 
What you’ll be doing as a Programme Manager:
  • You will oversee and have responsibility for the management of a varied range of BusinessResilience Turnaround Programmes.
  • Development and management of the initiative plan and its deliverables, with effective sprint cadence and clear leading indicators and outcomes.
  • Ensure the initiative and its workstreams have clear ways of working to perform effectively.
  • Manage risk issues and change in a fully transparent manner.
  • Ensure essential requirements and associated interfaces between the project Workstreams are clear and managed.
  • Promote and steer changes and adaptations to initiative ways of working to ensure improved delivery, performance, and collaboration.
  • Own the communications and engagement plan for the initiative.
This is a hybrid role with a base location of Clearwater Court in Reading, with travel across our regions and various sites. 
Working Pattern is Monday to Friday, 36 hours a week. 
What you should bring to the role:
  • You’ll have a proven track record of delivering projects and will be able to demonstrate strong external customer service ethic.
  • Being an excellent communicator, both written and verbal at all levels.
  • You will be an effective leader and influencer, able to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Experienced in directing and embedding business change.
  • Managing, leading, and developing people in a culture of accountability and achievement
  • Be able to set up and regularly implement feedback systems to improve business performance.
  • Experience working in complex environments with significant ambiguity.
