The Faculty of Media & Communication is looking to appoint a 0.5 FTE (18.5 hours) job share Programme Support Administrator. The role is front facing, tasks will include advising students, processing assignments, responding to email enquiries and facilitating online submissions. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will work closely with Programme Support Officers and Academic staff within the Faculty, providing a first class, proactive, administrative support to a wide range of stakeholders. This will require a constant evaluation of priorities, excellent communication skills and a broad understanding of the Faculty’s portfolio of programmes, both undergraduate and postgraduate. You will need to have an advanced understanding of Microsoft Office, databases and spreadsheets. The post-holder will be required to work across teams, providing mutual support within other teams in BU when required to address workload peaks, cover for staff absence and ensure consistent delivery of a professional and efficient service. This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position. This position is available part-time for 18.5 hours per week or 0.5 FTE.
