We are looking for a Programmer (Classical Music) to join our Arts Programming team on a full time permanent basis!
Classical Music at Southbank Centre:
As Southbank Centres largest artform, the Classical Music programme consists of over 200 events a year across a range of programming informed by Southbank Centres Classical Music Strategy to engage the widest possible audience, to support the broadest range of artists, and to develop and push forward the artform of Classical Music. We welcome visiting artists and ensembles from across the UK and around the world, in addition to working closely with our family of six Resident Orchestras and other orchestral partners to develop programming in line with the Classical Music Strategy.
Working as part of the Classical Music team, the Programmer (Classical Music) supports the Head of Classical Music to curate and deliver the year-round Classical Music programme, one-off festivals, and other cross-artform initiatives.
Role Objectives:
- Work with the Head of Classical Music to programme a leading Classical Music programme across physical and digital platforms, in line with the Classical Music Strategy as defined by the Head of Classical Music
- Support the Head of Classical Music with the operational delivery of the Classical Music programme, ensuring that the vision and operational requirements for individual events are communicated internally to enable the efficient and effective delivery of all events
