Job description

Location: University Park We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our effective Education and Student Experience team in the School of Life Sciences.  As Programmes and Assessment Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing critical aspects of teaching and learning administration. This includes organising assessment processes, coordinating school timetabling and curriculum changes and administering summer schools, field trips and research projects. You will also contribute to the team’s planning and organisation of School-wide student recruitment and curriculum activities.  You will bring to the role proven organisational and administrative skills and experience, preferably within a higher education context. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interact effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will bring first class IT skills, proven data manipulation skills and excellent attention to detail. Taking a proactive and flexible approach to managing your workload to meet strict deadlines, you will be experienced in working supportively as part of a team to deliver activities in a fast-paced and varied environment. You will also have the problem-solving skills and creative thinking required to develop and improve processes relating to student experience. This position offers a great opportunity to develop your skills and career. It is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered. The University of Nottingham supports hybrid working with arrangements agreed locally. In practice this means the team balances the working week with some time spent on campus and some time spent working from home to support flexibility recognising that individuals and teams can be effective given the choice of environment.
