Job description

British Gymnastics has the following Temporary part time Maternity cover post:

Programming Coordinator

18.5 hours per week (Days/ Times to be negotiated but must include Monday and Friday as a minimum)

Salary GBP21,226.00 per annum (pro rata and dependent upon experience)

39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours

This is a dual based working from home and at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, near Newport, Shropshire (on site at least 1 day per week)

Job Summary

The overall purpose of this role is to provide the gymnastics community with an effective, structured and well organised programme of regional and national courses with the core aim to develop coaches and judges across the pathway

The Role

The main responsibilities of the role are

1. Co-ordinate the delivery of a well-organised and structured education course programme.

Typical Activities:

  • Coordinating an annual/rolling plan of education courses to meet customer demand.
  • Programming courses in advance by consulting with clubs, coaches and regional colleagues
  • Source dates, venues/online channels, workforce and any associated course requirements
  • Utilising the online platform to ensure virtual courses are managed and delivered effectively.
  • Ensure minimum course requirements are fulfilled
  • Monitoring trends and patterns in candidate progression and course processes.ccurate records.
  • Accurate course administration,
  • Work with the Programming Officer to utilise the workforce accurately, ensuring feedback is recorded.

2. Support of the general running of the department.

Typical Activities:

  • Supporting colleagues, training and sharing knowledge/expertise
  • Contributing ideas/suggestions for the development of best practice
  • Ensuring records are updated and accurate
  • Processing Refund requests as and when necessary

3. Ensure procedural and financial compliance across all processes and systems.

Typical Activities:

Ensure that;

Correct automated booking and payment processes are met; Course income is processed,raising and processing orders in advance;Courses advertised are organised, administered and completed to the correct standards.

Role Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Expertise

To be successful the role holder will require good analytical, co-ordination and administration skills for auditing processes, reporting skills, and an understanding and knowledge of judging courses, processes and qualifications.

The holder is required to share/transfer knowledge of partnership arrangements, working practices, designated education courses/awards, and technology advances etc. with colleagues, as and when required.
