Project / Business Support Officer

Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Project / Business Support professional to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate.

You will

Provide support for the back office administrative team in allocating work to operatives and purchasing stock using our I.T system. Ensure compliance and corporate management responsibilities are meet regarding SSOW, risk assessments and yard/site safety.

To accurately record time and materials used on each task or projects.

To ensure that all activities either on site or within the depot conform to current Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work and/or relevant Health and Safety regulations and Codes of Practices.

To ensure that the correct Personal Protective Equipment is used for each task. To conduct regular inspections of tools, plant and equipment and vehicles that any operative may be required to drive. Collecting materials and goods from suppliers, assisting with unloading goods in the yard and general stores management.
