Job Title: Project Buyer - Brand Team

Department: Supply

Reporting: Senior Project Buyer

Are you a seasoned Project Buyer with a flair for taking ownership and driving successful outcomes? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our clients Supply team as a 360 Project Buyer. As a key player, you will lead crucial projects, ensuring seamless operations from design to project completion and take ownership of each stage in the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of key projects, providing accurate information to Sales and customers.
  • Negotiate with global suppliers to secure the best price and delivery, optimising the supply chain for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Maintain budgetary control and contribute significantly to financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan and prioritise tasks, adapting to change proactively.
  • Oversee quality control in the supply chain, ensuring projects meet company standards.
  • Interact with overseas offices, suppliers, and partners through effective communication and occasional travel.

Experience and Attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years of buying experience (preferably in outsourcing for displays/fixtures/ Component parts).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of production disciplines and materials associated with manufacturing displays.
  • Understanding of technology and technical drawings.
  • Track record in project buying for Brands, especially multi-material assemblies.
  • Experience in managing both domestic and overseas suppliers; familiarity with the Far Eastern supply market is a plus.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Level 4 or above is advantageous.
  • BA (Hons) or HND in Business and Finance is a plus.

What Else:

Working Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00, you will be based in our clients quirky offices based in Baldock. You will earn a salary between 38k to 45k plus annual company bonus linked to the businesses annual performance (dependent upon experience).
