We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Project Co-ordinator.


The Copenhagen Candle Company Ltd, established 23 years ago, is a leading UK Candle and Home Fragrance manufacturer with production facilities in the UK and China. We supply a wide variety of home fragrance products to multiple major retailers in the UK and internationally. Our growing business delivers high quality products at competitive prices and we hold an excellent reputation as a progressive and developing company having recently made significant investment into a state-of-the-art candle production facility at our head office in Kent.


The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and nurturing our retail customers and covering product development. You will be a natural leader and have a highly commercial approach. The ability to exceed our customers’ expectations makes for a fast-paced career in an international environment where you will be working closely with our Managing Director & Director of Sales.


Main Responsibilities:

-Key point of contact for major retail clients, managing relationships on a day-to-day basis.

-Developing new products per each client’s brief, including determining specifications, pricing, material sourcing and sampling. Using resourcefulness and creativity to help achieve product goals.

-Arrange samples & manage the sampling process. Working with our internal teams & factories to prepare samples for client’s approval. Ensure the samples meet the customer brief, are fit for purpose, and review & resolve any issues.

-Communicate with the China team to resolve queries and ensure key information is supplied in a timely manner.

-Attend regular team meetings at the office to develop cohesive strategy.

-Work closely with all departments (Design, Technical, Merchandising, China Sourcing) to ensure the brief is met, the critical path is managed, and orders are delivered on time.

-Provide administrative support to the Managing Director.

Keys Skills and Experience:

-Previous Account Manager & Product Development experience preferred.

-Previous experience with major retailers preferred.

-Creative capability.

-Ability to build strong working relationships across all areas of the business. A real team-player.

-Well developed communication & organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

-Putting the customer at the heart of the organisation.

-Self-motivated with the ability to manage their own timetable and deliver results.

-Strong level of computer literacy (Excel/Word/Office)


Full time 9am to 5pm office based (Matfield, Kent).

  • £30K-£35K depending on experience.
