Project Coordinator (Reason)

The role

The Smart Internet Lab is one of the UK’s most renowned Information and Communications Technology (ICT) research centres which addresses grand societal and industrial challenges.

This role will provide operational and administrative support to the REASON project in the Smart Internet Lab - funded by Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (formerly Department of Culture, Media and Sports), ensuring their successful delivery. REASON is an existing project, which is funded until February 2025.

What will you be doing?

Working closely with the Project Manager and Partnerships Manager, as well as other academics and researchers involved in the projects, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support needed for the successful delivery of the project. Tasks include:

• Management and delivery of work plans
• Monitoring of budgets
• Producing documents and reports
• Organising events and meetings
• Day-to-day administration related to the projects
• Act as a point of contact for the projects, liaising with colleagues internally to the University and with external stakeholders, including industry partners and funding agencies

• Demonstrable experience providing project management support, including monitoring of budgets.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and manage your own workload.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with a wide range of people.
• Highly competent with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel.

Experience of supporting government-funded projects is desirable, but not essential. The post is being offered on a full-time basis, at 1 Full-time Equivalent (FTE). The contract will be offered as open-ended with fixed funding until 28th February 2025, when the project is due to end.
