Berry Recruitment are looking for a Project Delivery Manager to join a local authority for a minimum of 3 months with possible extension.
This is to start ASAP and is a part time role working 3 days per week. You will be based at the Lyndhurst site with home working available. You will also be required to make regular site visits and meetings.
Salary is between 50,240 and 53,457 depending on experience.
The main purpose of this role is to cover the ongoing contract and budget management for a new depot, acting as the internal client link to the main contractor to ensure decisions required are made in a timely and careful way, and ensuring a handover process is set up ahead of completion.
Main Duties:
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Monitor and report on projects against financial budgets and costs
- Manage the performance of consultants and contractors, negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and contractors
- Oversee others that are part of the project such as architects, surveyors, project managers, health and safety managers etc
- Making sure all aims of the project are met
- Using ICT systems to keep track of project, progress and people
Requirements:
- Membership of an appropriate professional body such as The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management related to commercial developments
- Minimum of 5 years experience of initiating, negotiating and delivering commercial property projects
- Effectively manage and deliver complex developments projects on budget and on time
- Competent using ICT systems
- Exsperience working within a local authority is desirable but not essential
- Driving license and own vehicle is required due to regular site visits
