An exciting role has arisen for a Project Director (ETCS on-board) to join a market leading contractor, reporting to the Regional Director.

Role:

The successful candidate will lead teams in the successful delivery of ETCS 'on-board' projects in Derby.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining a professional relationship with the client at all levels throughout the project
  • Accountable for ensuring safety, quality, environmental, business management systems and fulfilling all contractual responsibilities for allocated projects
  • Regularly reviewing project tasks in line with a valued engineering approach, and mentoring members of the Project Management Team to help improve their execution and commitment
  • Perform periodic reviews of the project tasks in line with a valued engineering approach

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree level education in engineering discipline or Higher National Diploma equivalent
  • To gain qualification into a recognised Project Management Institution within 1 year
  • EHS qualifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Valid Personal Track Safety certification
  • Extensive experience in leading a large, disparate, multi-disciplinary team

Desirable:

  • Principle Investigation course/training/qualification
  • Risk Management training
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and colleagues
