Varied tasks
As the Project Engineer – Offshore Export Cable, you will:
- Be part of the interdisciplinary sub-project "Offshore Export Cable".
- Effectively collaborate on Transport and Installation related aspects of the works necessary for the effective completion of the Offshore Export Cables.
- Manage internal and external studies and consultancies for specific engineering scopes.
- Actively participate and coordinate in the preparation of technical specifications for the transport and installation as well as the supply of Offshore Export Cables.
- Take an active role in collaboration in the preparation, negotiation and award of contracts, including examination and evaluation of offered technical solutions.
- Support the design, the construction and consenting processes, (this also includes review of documents and the delivered technical solutions for compliance with specified requirements).
- Proactively manage the internal interfaces to the survey team, metocean team, offshore substation platforms and onshore Export Cable package.
- Play a key role in strengthening interfaces to other work packages.
Convincing Profile
- A master's degree or the equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Logistics, Marine Engineering. Or a bachelor’s degree and/or a technical/ skilled worker formation plus extensive professional experience in the respective field.
- A very good knowledge of the Transport and Installation subsea high voltage cables and at least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position as well as extended project work and project implementation skills.
- Furthermore, experience in participating in contract negotiations and in contract management of large infrastructure investment projects is desirable.
- You are motivated, dedicated and ready to embrace new challenges and take initiative and ownership.
- Fluency in Business English, German is a plus.
- You are flexible, and willing to travel within the scope of project requirements.
- And of course, you are a strong team player with good communication and persuasion skills, who enjoys working within intercultural teams.
