My client is a dedicated member of a larger Group, are market leaders in the supply of valves, fittings, and flow control equipment used across a variety of water sector projects, including clean water, wastewater, dams, reservoirs, hydropower, and non-utility infrastructure projects.
A vacancy has arisen for a Project Engineer / Site Manager from a Mechanical or electrical background to join and support the business in driving Continuous Improvement and collaboration.
You will be responsible for ensuring the allocated portfolio of projects are delivered in a timely, effective, and efficient manner, and meet my client's expectations in line with the expectations of our clients. Working with customers and subcontract partners, you will ensure works are delivered accordingly within the agreed budgets.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaise with suppliers as required and ensure supplier deliverables are managed effectively.
- Ensure all projects are planned, managed, and delivered effectively within agreed budgets.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with customers regarding plans, progress, and issues.
- Establish and maintain contacts with the Sales teams regarding plans, progress, and issues.
- Provide weekly and monthly forecasts of the revenue income for the portfolio/projects.
- Ensure commercial and contractual elements of projects are understood, planned, and delivered.
- Work across the company to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and appropriate for the customer and the business.
- Attend site meetings & undertake site inspections when required.
- Day-to-day Project Team management.
- Manage own and team workload to ensure agreed deadlines are achieved.
ABOUT YOU:
- Previous years’ experience in a similar role within engineering.
- Proven experience of dealing with key customers in a professional manner.
- Excellent communication and solution-oriented problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and observation.
- Flexibility to adjust workload priorities to take account of new deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills.
- SMSTS desirable but not essential

- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday – Thursday: 08:15-17:00
- Friday: 08:30-16:00
