Job Description:
- We seek a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team at TG Escapes. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing our innovative modular buildings. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, and project managers to ensure our projects' structural integrity, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct structural analysis and design calculations to ensure the structural integrity of our Timber buildings.
· Collaborate with architects and designers to develop innovative and cost-effective structural solutions.
· Perform site visits and assessments to gather necessary data and assess the existing conditions.
· Create detailed structural drawings and specifications for construction purposes.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
· Collaborate with the project management team to oversee construction and provide structural guidance during the build phase.
· Review and approve structural drawings and plans produced by Graduate Engineers and Timber Frame Designers.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering to bring innovative and sustainable ideas to the team.
· Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
· Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
· IEng or Near chartered CEng with the IStructE or ICE
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
· Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Masterseries
· Strong knowledge of Eurocodes codes and Building regulations.
Skills
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Experience in the Timber or modular building industry is a plus.
