Are you great at helping teams succeed? We need someone like you to join our oil and gas client in North Cambridge, as a Project Engineer Assistant. Your job will be to support their projects, talk to customers, and keep everything running smoothly. You will need an engineering background but will mainly focus on project related tasks.
Sounds interesting, what would I be doing on a day to day basis?
- Help the project engineer talk to customers and make documents.
- Be nice and helpful when talking to customers.
- Join meetings to make sure everyone understands each other.
- Make sure any changes to their plans still work okay.
- Help pick out and buy equipment for our projects.
- Test things and make sure they're okay.
- Make sure designs follow all the rules and what the customers want.
- Make special documents just for their projects.
- Make sure all their drawings and documents are good enough.
You should have a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering. It's important that you're good at talking to people, organising stuff, and understanding technical engineering. If you know how to use AutoCAD, that's a bonus!
Good stuff about the job:
Most of the time, you'll work in an office but occasional wfh is available. You'll get to work in a cool office with free parking and it's not far from the train station.
