Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Position Overview: They are looking for a motivated Project Estimator to join the commercial team. The Project Estimator will play a vital role in our organisation, responsible for estimating activities on mechanical, electrical, and fabric projects for both existing and potential clients throughout the UK. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for estimating to make a significant impact within our company.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the commercial team to analyse project specifications and requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of project scope, materials, labour, and other relevant factors to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Review and analyse subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Prepare professional and detailed proposals for submission to clients.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project-related documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transition from estimating to project execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and fabric project components and processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, RSMeans).
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of UK construction regulations and standards preferred.
