Salary: £37,336 - £42,403 per annum

Stockport Homes Group are looking for a Project Leader to support their investment team with the delivery of the Capital Investment programme, and other related works.
We are looking for someone who can develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide expert advice on building and development matters affecting Stockport Homes, their stock, customers and private homes. You will provide full design, procurement, management and delivery of a variety of projects, focusing on the four main areas of focus: Customer satisfaction, Quality control, Health and Safety and providing technical support and advice.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Working in collaboration with the Project team, clients and customers to ensure objectives are achieved
Monitoring works on site, in accordance with contractor’s method statements and requirements of the Construction and Design Management regulations 2015
Taking responsibility for the compliance within current building regulations and statutory legislation to ensure that contract works can be effectively procured
Making recommendations about aspects of works, including quality.
Assisting with the development and implementation of procedures, systems, monitoring agreements and suitable training
Assisting with the implementation of project specific financial and procurement controls, including agreeing and approving valuations, variations, payment and invoicing
We are looking for someone who is / has:
A relevant HNC / HND qualification in Building Surveying or equivalent
Experience or acquired skills as a Building Surveyor on functions such as Capital Investment Projects, maintenance and refurbishment contracts
A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, in particular CDM 2015
Holds a SMETS qualification or equivalent Health and Safety qualification
Experience of managing projects using JCT Standard Building Contracts, including Minor Works, Design and Build and Measured Term contracts
Experience of cost evaluation and project control and an understanding of contractor performance within a social housing environment
