Project Management Technician

Job Description Summary

We are recruiting and seeking applicants with excellent pro-active & organizational skills to join the Sensata HVOR (heavy vehicle/off road) team in Antrim.

Reporting to the Project Management Team you will be responsible for managing and coordinating new product sample builds & supporting product testing & verification.

The selected candidate will join a highly motivated and growing team within an organization at Sensata charged with incubating and commercialising new technologies.

Your main responsibilities will be to deliver customer pre-production products/systems in advance of product readiness.

Job Description

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Pro-actively co-ordinate engineering + sample builds from kick off to completion. Reporting back to the Project Mgt team on progress.
• Identify risks that may impact internal & external project milestones
• Formally report progress against key milestones
• Liaise and negotiate with internal departments to achieve your deliverables – Procurement, Engineering, Logistics & Operations.
• Maintain an Engineering & Sample build database to support traceability
• To pro-actively lead non-production shipments considering customer needs and impact on cost.

Candidates must have the following:

• A minimum of 5 GCSE’s A – C including English and Maths or equivalent
• Flexible and positive approach to work
• Strong IT skills (including MS Office) and willingness to learn new applications
• Ability to work with your own initiative and work to deadlines
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy
• Effective communication and organisational skills
• Driving license and access to a vehicle for travel
• Flexibility to travel

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience of managing projects
• Experience of working in an engineering/technical environment
