Role Purpose:
We are seeking an Operational Project Manager to support with a broad remedial action plan to improve the overall business performance with a focus on controls, processes, quality and efficiency. The Operational Project Manager will be the coordinator of this project and the individual actions within it. In addition, the Operational Project Manager would lead a project workstream creating a definition of Data Quality within the business and would be required to create a plan to not, measure, report and remediate data.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract position.
Project Aims:
1) Deliver the broad remedial plan to improve controls and processes
2) Lead one workstream to define what good quality data looks like within the business
3) Understand how the company’s data performs against the set standard (1)
4) Have reporting available to assess this on an ongoing basis
Accountabilities:
- Liaising with stakeholders at all levels to obtain updates and to report on the progress of the overall and individual projects.
- Coordinate stakeholder activity and ensure deadlines are delivered
- Understanding company system data
- Formulating a definition of 'high quality data’ within the business and find mechanisms to report against these standards
- Improving data integrity across the business
- Identification of process barriers & development of solutions
- Documentation of the company data strategy with input from stakeholders
- Understanding of how to manage and control data with front end controls and checks
Experience:
- Project Management experience is essential, ideally in an operational capacity
- Experienced in working on a data-driven project
- Experience of analysing and utilising data to improve systems & controls
- Experience within insurance and/or an FCA regulated industry would be advantageous
- Experience of working to deadlines
Skills:
- Data literate
- Strong understanding of high-volume data structures within systems
- Highly developed communication skills - written & verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Literate in Project Management Tools
- Confident with Microsoft applications
