We are working with an NHS organisation in Cambridgeshire to recruit a Project Manager to join their capital projects team, who can inject some professional enthusiasm into an existing project. We're looking for a tenacious, assertive and experienced Project Manager, who will lead the front line project management to support another part-time Senior Project Manager with the day to day running of the project.
Your new role
We're looking for a tenacious, assertive and experienced Project Manager, who will lead the front line project management to support another part time Senior Project Manager with the day to day running of the project. The organisation is in the early stages of a RIBA stage 3 design for a brand new GBP17m Day Treatment Unit aiming for construction to start in March this year with handover planned for January 2025. The organisation has appointed a Design and Build contractor to support them deliver this project. Following this, they will be demolishing an existing building from January 2025 to March 2026, as such the contract length will run until approximately April 2025.
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for a tenacious, assertive and experienced Project Manager, who will lead the front line project management to support another part-time Senior Project Manager with the day to day running of the project. The candidate will need to be IT savvy and task oriented. You will need to show initiative and ensure the fast pace of the project is managed with the support of the SPM. The person will need to work in both Hinchingbrooke Hospital & Stamford Hospital, 3 to 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
We need someone who is capable of managing strict project management processes and can outperform the contractor, ensuring we manage them as opposed to them managing us. The candidate must be personable and thrive on relationships with both Trust & contract staff.
What you'll get in return
You'll receive a day rate of between GBP250 to 308 per day depending on experience. This is a long-term contract which is set to run until March 2025.
