Project Manager

Lionsgate Contractors are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to join an award-winning subcontractor in the Northwest of England.  

Predominantly handling FRC works, the successful PM will be involved in some of the UK’s highest profile infrastructure projects to include bridge infrastructure, Sea defence, Highways and Rail Projects.

Typical duties will include, but are not limited to:

· Manage all financial aspects of projects, including the costing and invoicing of any additional works.

· Carry out all work in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures

· Maintain and develop own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements.

· Provide guidance to team members to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of operations.

· Monitor and report on progress of work to the customer as required.

· Provide guidance on and monitor your team’s approach to safety rules and procedures, method statements and risk assessments.

· Liaise with third parties to ensure the smooth implementation of work.

· Maintain awareness of and conform to the company SHE policy and issued safety instructions.

· Maintain site safety at all times and complete daily risk assessments.

· Ensure that accidents and near misses are suitably reported, recorded and investigated and that remedial action is carried out promptly.

· Report any concerns regarding SHE to the SHE team.

· Implement QUOSH values.

· Manage and review performance of staff reporting to you and identify training needs.

· Conduct site safety and 1 in 10 inspections and ensure remedial actions are undertaken.

· Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licences, notifications and notices are in place.

· Prepare project Safety, CDM plans and Risk Assessments as part of the overall programme.

· Where necessary assist with the management and resolution of customer complaints.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

· Proven technical and project management abilities

· Strong organisational and management skills

· Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations

· Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work

· Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment

· Sufficient experience required in construction, preferably from a subcontracting company with hands on experience of formwork.

· Previous Sea defence or tidal experience would be advantageous.
