A Project Manager (Actuarial Policy) job working for a West Midlands based Regulator and paying up to £73,000 per annum, provides an opportunity to support the delivery of key projects and undertake technical analysis to support policy development activity.
Your new role
As Project Manager (Actuarial Policy), you will join the Actuarial Policy Team to work with colleagues, mainly actuaries, to deliver the Regulator's objectives in line with their annual strategy. You will work closely with the team and Project Director on projects related to AS TM1, whilst also supporting the development of technical actuarial standards, performing technical analysis and undertaking research to support the development and maintenance of AS TM1. You will engage with senior stakeholders, regulators and other external bodies in relation to AS TM1, whilst contributing to the organisation's transformation programme in respect of the actuarial regulations.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Your previous experience of working within an actuarial team, supported by a good understanding of regulatory work, having operated in either a consultancy, in-house or regulatory role, will lead to your success. You will be a problem solver who is proficient in undertaking technical and data analysis, with the ability to analyse information and identify solutions, whilst being well versed in using processes and procedures with clear audit trails. You will be logical in approach and will be able to make decisions based on your own investigations and analysis of situations. You will have solid spreadsheet skills, including experience of Microsoft Excel, and will have knowledge of IFoA standards and guidance. You will ideally be a qualified actuary or actuarial analyst.
